On Saturday, June 1, 2019, TEAM EVAN is walking in the Washington DC Great Strides Walk in Washington, DC.
We walk for our Evan. Mommy, Daddy, Addis, and Damian are head over heels for our warrior! Evan is in Kindergarten this year...he loves recess, his teachers, and all his new friends! Evan loves swimming, going outside with his big brothers, and playing with his toys! Evan loves science and doing his "experiments." He is strong-willed, affectionate, smart, and very, very funny. We love to watch him grow...and listen to him do his many voices, sing his silly songs, and laugh his evil genius laugh!
Evan is our miracle. Prematurity, surgery, tummy aches, treatments, and loads of meds cannot stop him! He fights against CF everyday with his wide smile, big belly laugh, and strong, strong, will. We join him in his fight and are positive that CF will soon mean Cure Found.
Real progress has been for those who have CF...including Orkambi, which recently became available to Evan. But, there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. By walking today, we are helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join us? Please consider making a donation to our Great Strides fundraising campaign today!

Important note on Attendance at Foundation Events:
Infections can exacerbate CF symptoms and worsen lung function, so we ask attendees at Foundation-sponsored events to observe the following best practices to reduce the risk of germ transmission:
Regularly wash hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel.
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your inner elbow.
Maintain a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection.
To further reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation’s attendance policy recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times while attending an outdoor Foundation-sponsored event. All Great Strides walks are non-smoking events.
