In October of 2016 our dear friend Caitlin received a new pair of lungs from an anonymous organ donor at Duke University Medical Center. With her new lungs, she is unstoppable! However, it's important to remember that these new organs are not a cure but a last resort for many people, like Cait, who suffer from Cystic Fibrosis.
Currently, Cystic Fibrosis affects about 30,000 Americans. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short, so this year I am joining Caitlin's team ("Are We There Yet?") for Great Strides, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s largest national fundraising event to support the Foundation’s mission to cure CF and raise awareness for this rare, genetic, life-shortening disease.
Please consider making a donation, sharing this page, and/or joining us for the walk on May 19th at Van Saun Park in Paramus, NJ. Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families.
