Join our team Autumn's Amblers and help add tomorrows!
To find out more about Autumn, read her blog post on cff.org: https://www.cff.org/CF-Community-Blog/Posts/2018/How-a-Late-Diagnosis-Made-Me-Strong/
Autumn is 40 years old and currently lives in Atlanta, where she was born and raised, with her husband, Joey and rescue chocolate lab, Lexie. Autumn works as a Physical Therapist Assistant and a STOTT PILATES trained rehab instructor at STABILITY PILATES AND PHYSICAL THERAPY. She enjoys going to Braves games, concerts, and spending time with friends and family. Diagnosed with cystic fibrosis later in life, Autumn is grateful for research and funding for drugs like Kalydeco® that have kept her healthy.
She was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis later in life through genetic testing. She's fortunate to take Kalydeco, which is a unique drug to treat the underlying cause of CF and provides a better quality of life. We are indebted to the CF Foundation for funding the research for Kalydeco and making these drugs available to people with CF. The CF Foundation is actively looking for a CURE!
She's one of many adults continuing their lives thanks to advances in research directly funded by the CF Foundation.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. Autumn is one of them. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. We walk for them. Will you join us? All we need you to do to become a member of our team is click on the "Join our Team" button. From there you can make a donation and start your fundraising.
By becoming a member of our team and making a donation, you are doing more than just raising awareness. You are joining a growing group of people committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis.
It's events like these that are funding research for life-saving drugs. Together, we are adding tomorrows to the lives of people living with CF by supporting the search for a cure.
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families. There will be plenty of activities for the kids, great food, live music, and good friends!
Important note on Attendance at Foundation Events:
Infections can exacerbate CF symptoms and worsen lung function, so we ask attendees at Foundation-sponsored events to observe the following best practices to reduce the risk of germ transmission:
Regularly wash hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel.
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your inner elbow.
Maintain a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection.
To further reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation’s attendance policy recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times while attending an outdoor Foundation-sponsored event. All Great Strides walks are non-smoking events.
