My Great Strides Story
Hello friends and family, its time for our annual Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Walk-Run on May 20, 2017 @ 5:00 at Frank Rendon Park 2705 S. Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach Shores (about 2 miles north of Dunlawton Blvd). We walk to show support for my daughter Lauren and others who live daily with the hardships of CF.
Lauren doesn't complain but continues to try and live as normal a life as possible and just graduated with her 3rd degree. She has chosen a new career in a field that will hopefully, in the future, allow her to work from home giving her more time for the daily treatments that all CF patients must do to try and keep their lungs as healthy as possible as they wait for a cure for this disease.
You can help by donating (any amount is appreciated), walking with us or just spreading the word about the walk to others.
CF is a life-threatening and often fatal genetic disease that affects the respiratory and digestive systems of tens of thousand of children and young adults in the United States. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them and hope you will support me in my efforts. At least one precious life is lost to CF every day.
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease.By walking today, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my Great Strides fundraising campaign today!
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families.
Help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to my Great Strides fundraising campaign. Your gift will help add tomorrows to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis by supporting life-saving research and medical progress. Your gift is 100-percent tax deductible.
Many scientists believe that this may be a disease that we can see a cure for in our lifetime. Thank you for helping this dream to come true!!!.
