My name is Karina Sanders and I am 17 years old with Cystic Fibrosis about to graduate from High school and go off to Colorado Mountain College in steamboat springs. I want to make a difference in the world we live in and bring awareness to Cystic Fibrosis and make Cf stand for cure found.
Keagan is my little brother with cf as well and he also have cf related liver disease and needs all the help he can get. With a failing liver he will need a transplant in the next year or so. He is 12 years old and he fights everyday to make the best of what life has given him. He loves Pokémon! And video games along with being in the great outdoors! Hoping to help him get through the pain he is in now and find a cure for him!
Important note on Attendance at Foundation Events:
Infections can exacerbate CF symptoms and worsen lung function, so we ask attendees at Foundation-sponsored events to observe the following best practices to reduce the risk of germ transmission:
Regularly wash hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel.
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your inner elbow.
Maintain a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection.
To further reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation’s attendance policy recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times while attending an outdoor Foundation-sponsored event. All Great Strides walks are non-smoking events.
