The excitement in the CF community has inspired us to get an early start on our fundraising for 2019. This will be our 8th year participating in the Great Strides event and each year we are amazed by the support and participation we receive from family and friends. In case you don't know the whole story...the Lord has blessed us with three amazing sons -- Jackson (8), Brock (6) and Lincoln (2). Jackson and Lincoln both suffer from a genetic disease called Cystic Fibrosis, a disease we knew nothing about until two weeks after Jackson's birth. Although we have learned more and more about this disease with every milestone of their lives, what continues to linger in our hearts is the simple fact that there is no cure for this rare disease. Only about 30,000 people suffer from CF, but the research continues to progress rapidly because of private funding and the incredible support that this community receives from people just like you. The research going on now is incredible and although there is not a cure yet, they are currently in phase 3 of a trial drug that would help treat nearly 90% of CF patients, including both Jackson and Lincoln. However, there's a long ways to go and we're not stopping "Until it's Done!" We encourage you to fight along side us by donating, walking, climbing, whatever it is that you can do. We are incredibly grateful! Although the success of our Down For a Cure Golf Tournament has now become our biggest team fundraiser, the walk has gone national and we now have teams that representing Lincoln Up with Jackson's Rays of Hope in Colorado, Texas, Indiana, Missouri, and South Carolina! Our National Team raised a total of $18,980 in 2018 and we can not express how humbled we are year after year by each of you who help support us in this passion. We hope to see many of you on May 11th in Denver and look forward to seeing pictures of all the other walks.
God Bless you all!
Until it's Done
