There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis, my son, MATTHEW, is one of them. I walk for him and hope you will support me in my efforts. Today Matthew is 27 years old (this was his life expectancy when he was born). He is thriving- living and working in DC. He gets up at 5:30am every day so he can go to gym, do his treatments and get to work on time. 2018 was a rough year health wise- first hospitalization for lung issues and then in December , he had surgery to remove a very rare tumor. We look forward to a wonderful and healthy 2019! Please consider making a donation to CF as we are making great strides in CF research! Please help us make CF stand for cure found!

Important note on Attendance at Foundation Events:
Infections can exacerbate CF symptoms and worsen lung function, so we ask attendees at Foundation-sponsored events to observe the following best practices to reduce the risk of germ transmission:
To further reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation’s attendance policy recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times while attending an outdoor Foundation-sponsored event. All Great Strides walks are non-smoking events.
