ASAPodcasting will host a 12 hour Charity Podcasting marathon in late 2019 to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Cystic Fibrosis is an extremely dangerous genetic condition which effects over 30,000 people in the United States, 50,000 world wide, and is one of the most expensive conditions to treat.
Cystic Fibrosis effects the mucus production in lungs and the pancreas and as a result causes breathing and food digestion issues which will lead to death. We have multiple members of our gaming and podcast community who are effected by this diagnosis. Not long ago the life expectancy of most people with CF was childhood. It was rare to make it past age 10. But with expanding research and newly developed treatment methods and medications people are living much longer and healthier lives.
Please help us to make 2019 the year that we discover the cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

Important note on Attendance at Foundation Events:
Infections can exacerbate CF symptoms and worsen lung function, so we ask attendees at Foundation-sponsored events to observe the following best practices to reduce the risk of germ transmission:
Regularly wash hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel.
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your inner elbow.
Maintain a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection.
To further reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation’s attendance policy recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times while attending an outdoor Foundation-sponsored event. All Great Strides walks are non-smoking events.
