King Birnbaum is the team leader of Pajamas for a Cure! He says that just like you dream when you wear pajamas, he dreams of a cure!
This is what he told his mom when she asked him about Great Strides:
Mom: Why do you want to have a Great Strides team? King: Because it helps the scientists to figure out a cure. If I get a cure it would mean that I would not have to have this disease anymore.
Mom: What would it mean to you? King: It would mean that my friends are proud of me and it would make me happy if they were with me.
Mom: How does it make you feel when people make a donation to you?
King: It makes me feel good and happy.
Mom: What do you do to stay healthy?
King: I do my treatments in the morning and at night where I breath in medicines and wear a vest that shakes my lungs and my body. I use a feeding tube to be strong. I take pills every time I eat because it helps me digest. I also take more medicine before bed at night. I get sick of having to do all of that, but it is important.
Mom: Who do you want to come walk with you?
King: My sister, my teachers, people from church, my neighbors, friends, and family.
We hope that you will support this cause that means so much to our team. You are also invited to join us at the Eighth Annual Team Kenneth King's Believers Tailgate on April 28th!

Important note on Attendance at Foundation Events:
Infections can exacerbate CF symptoms and worsen lung function, so we ask attendees at Foundation-sponsored events to observe the following best practices to reduce the risk of germ transmission:
Regularly wash hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel.
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your inner elbow.
Maintain a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection.
To further reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation’s attendance policy recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times while attending an outdoor Foundation-sponsored event. All Great Strides walks are non-smoking events.
