Bryson was born on September 28, 2018-right on his due date! Our family was overjoyed to welcome our second son! At one month old we found out that Bryson was diagnosed with cystsic fibrosis. This came as a complete shock to our family. We were devstated with the news and left feeling anxious, saddened, and extremely fearful.
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a chronic and terminal condition. We heard of it but knew little about CF. After googling the care, quality of life, and life expectancy we felt even more lost. We then got introduced to the CF Community and for the first time saw real signs of hope. Hope for a cure. Hope for our son to live a life full of love, fun, and have experiences just like any other child.
Advancements in CF care, medicine, and maintenance have come so far over the years and all that is possible because of the CFF. Because of fundraising. Because of events like Great Strides.
We know life will not be easy for Bryson but we also know he will need to meet CF with bravery, grit, and persistence. So we will persist, we will walk, and we will fight until CF means CURE FOUND.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them. Will you join me and support my fundraising goal?
Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We’ve come so far, but there’s still so much work to do. I will not stop striding until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. Will you join me? Please consider donating to my Great Strides fundraising campaign today!

Important note on Attendance at Foundation Events:
Infections can exacerbate CF symptoms and worsen lung function, so we ask attendees at Foundation-sponsored events to observe the following best practices to reduce the risk of germ transmission:
To further reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation’s attendance policy recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times while attending an outdoor Foundation-sponsored event. All Great Strides walks are non-smoking events.
