Dear Girl Scout Troop 6087 families and friends,
Thank you for visiting our page and supporting our troop's efforts to fight Cystic Fibrosis (CF)! At our meetings we are learning about helping others, and right now, we're working to help children born with cystic fibrosis.
On June 1st, my troop will be participating in Great Strides, a walk put on by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to fund life-saving research for CF. I am eager to be part of Great Strides and I will be walking with Team Jonah in honor of Jonah Ostermann. Jonah is a local boy who was born with the disease and must battle it every single day.
You can help…please make a donation that will help find a cure for Jonah and the 30,000 other people in the United States who battle this awful disease every day. Please consider donating $14 in recognition of the 14 years Jonah has fought CF, or $37 for the average lifespan of someone like Jonah with CF, or even $99, for what we want for Jonah's life expectancy.
The CF Foundation is a very efficient organization and nearly 90 percent of every dollar raised is available for the investment in life-saving programs to support research, care, and education. This is an exciting time—research is currently being done on therapies that won’t just manage the symptoms of CF, but may cure it by reversing the basic defect. This research is very expensive to fund, but the rewards are priceless.
Please take a moment to show your support by making a donation today. Thank you for helping us follow through on our promise to help others!
