Clare is 9!! How did the time go by so fast already? I can still remember when Lisa introduced her gorgeous and perfect little girl to me and I instantly loved her. I also can still remember when Clare was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. CF has changed Clare's life in many ways, she has to take medication daily, do breathing treatments as well as chest physiotherapy and even has had some hospitalizations. BUT what it hasn't changed is who she is.
Clare is the same wild and outspoken child she always has been. She plays flag football on a girls league and is a math wizard. When she was hospitalized this year with some CF complications she kept asking me if she could do math problems with me!! What an amazing child.
Every year since she has been born I have walked alongside her family and friends to support finding a cure for CF and for Clare. The median age of survivial has grown immensely in the time we have been walking and my hope is that it will continue to. The reasons CF research is able to continue and make GREAT STRIDES towards a cure is because of donations made by people like you.
If you are able to contribute whether by donating or by coming out to the walk and getting to know Clare and the people who are working to find a cure I will be grateful either way! Thanks friends!
