My Great Strides Story
Hello friends and family!!!! Welcome to my page and thank you for visiting and taking the time to consider donating to a cause that is dear to my heart. As many of you know, I lost my dear friend Amanda Dooley this year. She fought CF so hard and somehow with a smile. Being so close and watching CF take her life has had quite the impact on me this year. It really brings the reality of CF to the surface, and the reality is that CF is a TERMINAL illness.... There is no cure. CF over time takes away your breath, and not in a good way. All us CFer's can do is try to stay as healthy as possible while we wait for a cure/new medications to prolong our life and increase our quality of life. Research is sooooo important in this fight against cf and the CFF is making great progress in new treatments. Baby's born today with CF will be living LONG wonderful lives which makes my heart so happy. Please help me raise money so that the fighters that are still fighting today can add tomorrow's to our lives.
If you have any questions for me regarding my health, please don't hesitate to ask!!! I'd love to answer any questions you might have!
LOVE ALWAYS, Alma Jean
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them and hope you will support me in my efforts.
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By walking today, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my Great Strides fundraising campaign today!
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families.
Please support me!
