About San Antonio Cycle for Life
Put your wheels in motion and join us for the 4th Annual Cycle For Life ride on September 27th. Cycle For Life will Start/Finish at Palo Alto College and participants can choose a 32 or 62 mile route option.
Bike Mechanics from Ride Away Bicycles, Bike World and Planet Bike will be on site to provide repairs and assistance before AND during the ride. We will have SAG (Support And Gear) vehicles cruising both routes in case you’d like to stop riding at any point and return to the Start/Finish Line. This ride is also police supported.
Lunch and FREE BEER (Mmmmmm, beer) will be provided for all Participants immediately following the ride.
Get your wheels in motion and pedal to the medal!
The 32 mile route is a loop through the quaint town of Somerset and cruises back around to Palo Alto College. The 62 mile route breaks off in Somerset and circles the charming country town of Lytle, rolls back through Somerset and around to Palo Alto College. Both routes start and end the same way.
Because we ride on the south side, our routes are relatively flat and traffic is minimal, providing a very SAFE cycling experience (Perfect for beginner cyclists and those training for longer, more physically challenging rides this fall).
The routes will be well-marked and you can expect rest stops every 10-12 miles. Rest Stops will be set-up, managed and decorated by Cycle For Life Volunteers and will include plenty of water, Gatorade, salty &sweet snacks and PB&J sandwiches.
