Welcome to my Page
There are approximately 30,000 people living in the United States with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. One of these is Mara, the sister of my son-in-law David. She has fought hard, even undergoing experimental therapy to have as normal a life as possible. I ride for Mara and others like her, and hope that you will support me in my efforts.
Although tremendous progress has been made in the search for a permanent cure for cystic fibrosis, the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By cycling, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of all people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my CF Cycle for Life fundraising campaign today!
CF Cycle for Life is a unique event that empowers cyclists to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure for cystic fibrosis in a tangible, yet emotional way.

Thanks to their gracious generosity, my supporters donated over $1000 to CFF. Over $100,000 was raised in total. I had hoped to do 50 miles and had done one 40 and two 30 mile rides in the course of my training. Unfortunately, there was a long stretch of steep head winds which was demoralizing to say the least. I was looking at another 2 hours of wind and considering trying to connect to the return route when the weather turned bad and we were told to turn around and return to the start as lightning had been sighted on the course. In the last 1/2 mile I road thru a tempest of severe wind and icy soaking rain. The wind gust was severe enough to lift a woman behind me off her bike into a ditch. Fortunately , she was uninjured. Overall, I rode 32.3 miles which was 7.3 miles more than last year.
Once again, I appreciate those who kindly gave to CFF. The money will be well spent.
