Welcome to my Page
On August 26th, I will be participating in the CF Cycle for Life by riding 32 miles. CF Cycle for Life is a unique event that empowers cyclists to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure for cystic fibrosis in a tangible, yet emotional way.
The first time I really heard anything about cystic fibrosis was when my nephew John was born. All I knew about CF was that it was a problem with the lungs and there was no cure. The life expectancy at the time was 11 years. Fast forward 28 years and John is an amazing young man, thanks to all the progress made fighting this disease. He graduated from CU Boulder and has a great job. John married the love of his life 2 years ago, and they bought a house & recently adopted a puppy. While things are going well for him, he also lives with CF everyday, and there still is no cure. John is an inspiration to me. He competed on the CU bike team and raced for several years after college. He is actually doing the 65 mile route while I'm hoping to survive the 32 mile one!
If you would like to contribute to this great cause, any donations would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
