Actavis+Allergan CF Cycle for Life
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is proud to reveal our inaugural Actavis+Allergan CF Cycle For Life event in Milwaukee. We invite you to raise awareness for cystic fibrosis with a unique exploration of the city by bike, starting at Lakefront Brewery! The urban environment of Milwaukee thrives with a rich culture of pubs, restaurants and coffee houses along the many bike friendly streets, upgraded bike paths and beautiful city trails; our ride integrates that dynamic by traveling through the East Side, Downtown, The Lakefront, Bayview and the Third and Fifth Wards on an urban food tour. The flagship 26 mile route offers a food passport as you travel through the city while the 7 and 49 mile routes are perfect for the amateur just learning to ride or the veteran distance rider to enjoy our great streets.
The links below detail the exact routes for each course and will continue to be updated as more rest stops and restaurants join the ride. We are proud to announce that Horny Goat, Lakefront Brewery, Zak’s Café, Haleybird Studios, Ben’s Cycle and Fyxation are some of the great cycle shops and restaurants that are actively supporting this ride.

We are also happy to announce our training ride schedule for our riders and those interested in getting out and enjoying a nice ride.
1) Saturday June 20th – Wauwatosa Farmers Market 8:30 AM: Join us for Yoga in the morning with Haleybird Yoga, followed by a nice ride along the Hank Aaron Trail.
2) Thursday July 9th – Wheel and Sprocket, Delafield 6:30 PM. Matt and his crew will lead us out on a nice tour of lake country and then we’ll relax back at Revere’s Well Street Tavern for some Thursday night music.
3) Sunday July 19th – Palmer’s Steak House, Hartland 9:00 AM is closed as this ride has reached capacity.
4) Saturday, August 1st - Lakefront Brewery, Milwaukee 9:00 AM. We'll be joined by Jim
Klisch himself as he leads a tour of downtown Milwaukee to showcase some of his
favorite Tied Houses, some historical breweries and his favorite Milwaukee
stops. Of course, we'll enjoy a Fixed Gear afterwards.
The Actavis+Allergan CF Cycle for Life is a fully-supported ride with route options of 7, 25, and 50 miles, or a "Virtual Cyclist" option (our HERO route!) for those that wish to support the ride through fundraising, but cannot join us the day of the ride. From breakfast to our cycle post party, you can enjoy fully stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles, bike mechanics for bicycle maintenance and repair, ride marshals to cheer you along the way and plenty of support vehicles to help you complete the ride. This unique event empowers participants to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure for cystic fibrosis in a tangible, emotional and powerful way.
