About CF Cycle for Life
Get your wheels in motion and join us for our September 11, 2016 annual bicycle event as we ride through some of the most picturesque and scenic terrain in Western Pennsylvania. CF Cycle for Life is a fully-supported ride with route options of 15, 30 and 60 miles – perfect for beginners to advanced riders. This is the most fun you’ll have on two wheels - from breakfast to our cycle post party; you are extremely taken care of! You can enjoy fully stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles, bike mechanics for bicycle maintenance and repair, ride marshals to cheer you along the way and plenty of support vehicles to help you complete the ride.
Before the ride we’ll provide:
- Training rides and events to help you prepare
- Online participant center to ensure fundraising success
- Monthly newsletters with training tips, fundraising ideas, etc.
At the event we’ll provide:
- Complimentary breakfast
- Stocked rest stops every 10 miles with food and refreshing beverages
- Support and gear (SAG) vehicles if you need a ride
- Bike mechanics
After you cross the Finish Line we’ll provide:
- Commemorative long sleeved t-shirt
- Finish Line BBQ
- Live entertainment
- Beer Garden (For those 21+)
- Free massages
- Lawn games
Why ride alone? You can cycle as an individual or gather your friends, family and/or colleagues to join you as a team (min. 4 cyclists per team). The Pittsburgh CF Cycle for Life provides for a meaningful team building experience for any corporate group.
The Pittsburgh CF Cycle for Life is a pledge based event. In addition to the registration fee, we require all cyclists to raise a minimum fundraising amount ($200) to participate. Your support allowed us to raise over $80,000 in 2015 and with your help we can reach our 2016 goal of $90,000!
Please note, this is an open road ride and although it will be well marked and volunteers and authorities will be stationed along it, we require our cyclists to follow the rules of the road. We also encourage our cyclists to either ride a hybrid, cross or road bike because of the rolling hills.
Sponsors, committee members, volunteers and, of course, riders are currently needed. For more information contact Lauren DiMaria at (412) 321-4422 or email email@example.com.

Minimum Pledge Requirement Policy: The minimum pledge requirement of $200 is due on or before event day. Even though the minimum is due by the day of the event, you have one month after the event to earn great CF Cycle for Life prizes. The average amount a participant raises is $590. Registration fees are non refundable and non transferrable and do not count towards your fundraising minimum. Thank you for adding tomorrows for people with cystic fibrosis.
