Why ride alone? You can cycle as an individual or gather your friends, family and/or colleagues to join you as a team (min. 4 cyclists per team). The Actavis+Allergan CF Cycle for Life provides for a meaningful team building experience for any corporate group.
Registration Fee Schedule:
$25 Now – May 31, 2015
$35 June 1, 2015 – August 31, 2015
$45 September 1 – September 13, 2015
The Actavis+Allergan CF Cycle for Life is a pledge based event. In addition to the registration fee we require all cyclists to raise a minimum fundraising amount ($200) to participate. Your support allowed us to raise about $80,000 in 2014, and with your help we will reach our 2015 goal of $100,000! Registration fees are non-refundable, are not tax deductible and do not count towards your fundraising total. The minimum pledge requirement is due on or before event day, and entitles you to an official long-sleeve event T-shirt along with all of the other ride perks. You will, however, have a month after the event to keep fundraising and earn extra cycling prizes!
Please note, this is an open road ride and although it will be well marked and volunteers and authorities will be stationed along it, we require our cyclists to follow the rules of the road. We also encourage our cyclists to either ride a hybrid, cross or road bike because of the rolling hills.
Riders ages 16 and up may participate.
Bike helmets are required to ride.
About Cystic Fibrosis:
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. An estimated 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide) have CF. A nonprofit, donor-supported organization, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for CF. The Foundation funds lifesaving research and works to provide access to quality, specialized care and effective treatments for people with CF.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is one of the most efficient organizations of its kind and is an accredited charity of the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance. Nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support. Through its efforts, the life expectancy of a child with CF has doubled in the last 30 years, and research to find a cure is more promising than ever before.
This unique event empowers participants to take action and demonstrate their commitment to finding a cure. To learn more about cystic fibrosis and the CF Foundation, click here.
Sponsors, committee members, volunteers and, of course, riders are currently needed. For more information, contact Lauren DiMaria at (412) 321-4422 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
