The CF Cycle for Life is a pledge based event. In addition to the registration fee we require all cyclists to raise a minimum fundraising amount ($185.00) to participate. Your support allowed us to raise over $60,000 in 2013, and with your help we will reach our 2014 goal of $85,000!
Registration fees are non-refundable, are not tax deductible and do not count towards your fundraising total.
The minimum pledge requirement is due on or before event day, and entitles you to an official long-sleeve event T-shirt along with all of the other ride perks. You will, however, have a month after the event to keep fundraising and earn extra cycling prizes!
Please note, this is an open road ride and although it will be well marked and volunteers and authorities will be stationed along it, we require our cyclists to follow the rules of the road. We also encourage our cyclists to either ride a hybrid, cross or road bike because of the rolling hills.
Why ride alone? You can cycle as an individual or gather your friends, family and/or colleagues to join you as a team (min. 4 cyclists per team). The CF Cycle for Life provides for a meaningful team building experience for any corporate group.
Participants under the age of 18 are not permitted to participate in the Aptalis CF Cycle For Life®. Bike helmets are required to ride.

About Cystic Fibrosis:
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an inherited chronic disease affecting approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States. More than 10 million people) are "carriers" of the defective CF gene. CF causes repeat and chronic lung infections and difficulty digesting food and nutrients. The average life expectancy is 37 years of age—there is no cure.
This is a historic time in the fight against cystic fibrosis. Recently, the CF Foundation has developed a new drug- Kalydeco- that targets the basic genetic defect causing CF. The passing of this new drug by the FDA opens many doors for future research and creates new hope for all afflicted. Now, more than ever before, we must continue to raise funds in support of a cure for cystic fibrosis.
This unique event empowers participants to take action and demonstrate their commitment to finding a cure.
Sponsors, committee members, volunteers and, of course, riders are currently needed. For more information contact Lauren DiMaria at (412) 321-4422 or email email@example.com.
