Our Cycle for Life Story
It is that time of year again for the 2019 Cycle for Life, Tri-Cities! 24, 44, 65 or 75 miles of cycling around the Tri-Cities!
Rosse’s Posse is back at it again and we are looking for a team of riders and donations to help raise money for CF research. As many of you know, I have been beating this disease for 35 years and I am living a happy and adventurous life. I am thankful to everyone who has been a part of my journey, and I have been healthy for many years because of your support.
It is a great time to get involved in the Cycle for Life and help the lives of those with CF. Medical science breakthroughs over the past few years has been nothing short of remarkable. In fact, the past 1.5-2 years, I have been appreciating the benefits of monies raised from a developed drug therapy called Symdeko. It is a gene modifying drug. We are no longer just treating the symptoms of this genetic disease process, but we are now addressing the underlying genetic defects! Since last year, even more breakthrough research has occurred leading to a generation-4 drug which is showing remarkable changes in clinical trials for those with CF!
This is a huge breakthrough which only shows the amazing testament and commitment to those fighting this disease and all the doctors, researchers, and drug developers that are committed to making CF stand for "Cure Found".
Without amazing fundraising endeavors that the CF Foundation puts forward I wouldn't have the necessary treatment regimens to be able to participate in these events (or climb mountains, haha).
Unfortunately, this disease is still a terminal illness. Despite this, CF is making national news headlines in their advanced medical breakthroughs multiple times each year.
By cycling, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of all people living with cystic fibrosis (and myself!). Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my CF Cycle for Life fundraising campaign today or join us on August 3th!
Thank you everybody! Myself, my wife CJ, my dog Kepler, and my family (too numerous to name!) are so amazed by all the love, support, and generosity you continue to show us. Thank you. It's remarkably humbling and uplifting. I'll say it again, I'm very blessed to have such a remarkable support system.
Ross, CJ, and Kep!
Help US reach OUR fundraising goal!
