My CF Climb Story
I will be participating on the "We Back Jack" team in the CF Climb at Houston's BBVA Compass Stadium in an effort to raise awareness and donations for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Our family has had the pleasure of becoming friends with a family affected by this disease. Their little boy, a fun-loving, playful young boy whom is the same age as our oldest, 4 years-old, will continue to fight the battle with CF until the day a cure is developed.
Currently, there is no cure for this devastating disease. However, significant progress has been made in the search for a cure through donations and support from people like you. The CF Foundation uses the money raised to drive research initiatives in a vigorous search for a cure. By climbing, we are helping add more tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis today.
Please join us by joining our team (virtually if you can't be here in person) or by donating to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
More info on CF: Cystic fibrosis is a rare, life-shortening, genetic disease found in about 30,000 people in the U.S., which causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breath over time. Those living with this disease are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends, and co-workers – all struggling each day just to breathe and live normal, healthy lives.
Sixty years ago, most children with cystic fibrosis did not live long enough to attend elementary school, but thanks to Foundation-based research and care, many people with CF are now living into their forties – achieving milestones once thought not possible, such as attending college, pursuing careers, and having a family of their own.
While there has been significant progress in treating this disease, there is still no cure and too many lives are cut far too short.
Please make a difference and support me by donating to my CF Climb fundraising campaign today!
Donate an amount that is meaningful to you, thanks.
