My CF Climb Story

It's an exciting year for Cystic Fibrosis research -- new "second generation" drugs are being developed, building on some of the phenomenal results we have seen with Orkambi and Kalydeco, and we hear stories of Cystic Fibrosis patients routinely hitting milestones and doing things that previous generations of CF patients could never dream of.

But we still hear sad stories, of too many people taken from us too early. Of new threats to CF patients (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/a-superbug-that-threatens-people-with-cystic-fibrosis-is-spreading-globally_us_5824e028e4b0f616ef3031c6). So we continue to work so that Meagan and others will be free from this disease.

For me, that includes the anuual Stair Climb -- 56 floors on November 16th. It's a motivation for me to stay in shape, and a fun event for the Seattle community to come together in support of CF patients.

There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I climb for them and hope you will support me in my efforts.

Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By participating in CF Climb, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my CF Climb fundraising campaign today!

CF Climb is a unique event that empowers participants to take their search for a cure to new heights.
