Hi Everyone!
Jimmy's Team had an amazing run in Rockland County, NY for the last 20+ years, however, as the family and I have moved, we are looking to bring that success down here to Florida!
In 1996, my little brother, Jimmy, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at two months old. Determined to help find a cure, fundrasing for this cause immediately became a part of my family's life. Jimmy had a laugh that was contagious, a smile that could brighten anyone’s day, and a heart of
gold. He was the epitome of selfless. Despite all of the pain and suffering he endured on a daily basis, he always put everyone else first—if someone was sick, he would ask how they were feeling, even though he was up all night coughing; if you were feeling down, he would crack jokes to make you smile, even though he was the one in the hospital; if you needed someone totalk to, he was always there to listen, even though he was the one battling for his own life. Unfortunately, my brother’s battle with cystic fibrosis came to an end on July 23, 2011. He was only 15.
Jimmy had impacted my life the second he came home from the hospital. He showed me what courage, strength and resilience truly looked like, and he showed me how to think of others before I thought of myself. As a result of his passing, he also showed me the importance of pushing through pain and continuing with a mission, even though I may not get an outcome I wanted. Although Jimmy is no longer here, there are still tens of thousands of other children, men and women fighting for their lives. It is not easy, but my family and I continue to fundraise for the cystic fibrosis foundation and attend the annual walks.
Please join my family and I as we continue to work toward making C.F stand for CURE FOUND!

Important note on Attendance at Foundation Events:
Infections can exacerbate CF symptoms and worsen lung function, so we ask attendees at Foundation-sponsored events to observe the following best practices to reduce the risk of germ transmission:
To further reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation’s attendance policy recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times while attending an outdoor Foundation-sponsored event. All Great Strides walks are non-smoking events.
